Another month closer to the end of the year. September was pretty busy month for me. I had waaaayy too many assignments and presentations due in the month. But the end of September also means school holidays for us in Australia. YES!

I’ve come to realise that during the holidays, I tend to go overboard with my book buying. It’s just all those free days stuck at home can easily lead me to my local bookshops. I’m currently so broke that I can’t buy instant noodles at the shops right now. I know, that’s a whole new level of broke. Although this may not seem like a lot of books, in my recent post you may have learnt about Australia and how we have the most ridiculous prices on books. I can’t wait to be older and leave this death hole. Anyways, on to the books!
The Hush Hush Series:

This series by Becca Fitzpatrick was recommended to me through a bunch of people… no, wait I take that back. I heard that these books were cringy, cheesy, cliche (all the C’s) and literally the epitome of A BAD BOOK. So I picked it up. This YA Fantasy series is about a high school student named Nora Grey who meets Patch, the one guy she can’t seem to stop thinking about or avoid. With the presence of Patch comes terrifying events until she is eventually caught up in a war between the fallen and the immortal. So cliche, SO GOOD!
Lady Midnight:

Lady Midnight by Cassandra Clare is the first book in the Dark Artifices trilogy. The book takes place 5 years after the events of City Of Heavenly Fire( The Mortal Instruments series) in Los Angeles and focuses on the relationship between “parabatai,” a very powerful bond that makes the two powerful and strong, but with one setback- you cant fall in love with each other. It just so happens that Emma Carstairs and Julian Blackthorn, two parabatai, have fallen in love. Ooohh, sounds interesting.
The Wise Men’s Fear:

This is the second book to The Name Of The Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. I don’t have the first book but I found this on sale for $3 and I had to buy it. The Name Of The Wind takes place in a magical world and is a tale about a gifted young man who grows to be the most notorious wizard his world has ever seen. Seriously, this is the BIGGEST BOOK I OWN! 994 PAGES!!?!!
Daughter of Smoke and Bone and Days Of Blood and Starlight:
This trilogy by Laini Taylor has so many great reviews that I had to buy it. Although I haven’t read it yet, I promise you I will sometime this year. These books follow Karou, a 17 year old art student, who was raised by chimaera, or creatures that have characteristics of both humans and animals. These chimaera trade teeth in exchange for wishes and use Karou to fetch the teeth for them. During one of her missions, Karou meets Akiva who sees something familiar in her.
And last book for the month,
Strange The Dreamer:

I have heard nothing but good things about this book and I’m so excited to read this book! It is my top priority and will be reading it sometime this week. This book is about a boy name Laslo who is obsessed with the lost city of Weep. An opportunity presents itself in a hero called the Godslayer to head to the city. So many questions arise like what happened in Weep two thousand years ago? The answers await in Weep but so do problems.
Did i already mention how excited i am to read this book?
So there we go, all the books Ii bought in September! October has come and it’s time to read more books and stock up on more! *EXCITED GIRLY SQUEAL* That’s it for now my beautiful friends, see you in my next post! Bye!
